Forester working in Alberta here, this is a heavy duty jacket. Pretty comfortable, doesn't breathe (as expected), but it is well ventilated and roomy enough to generate some airflow. I look forward to breaking it in, I suspect it will get a little more comfortable over time.

This is my "standing in the rain" jacket.

Thank you Wilson! Great photo, we appreciate you sharing your thought's.

Please keep us posted as you use it through the raining season.

Respectfully,
Brian

I do timber boundary line surveying in the Oregon Coast Range. I’ve been using this rain gear for a few weeks now and we’ve had a lot of rain and snow, so far it has held up great in the woods and It breaths well. Thanks for making a great product!

Thank you for the awesome review and photo Jared! We are glad you are enjoying your jacket!

Cheers,
Brian

I purchased a jacket a few years back for backwoods canoe camping. The jacket and pants hold up to the snags of beaver dams to simple dutys such as a ground sheet for the pooch. Recently I purchased another jacket for my girlfriend which she now packs for camping with our travel trailer. Very sturdy gear compaired to big name rain gear that I have found does not stand up to the task.

Great to hear you and your girlfriend are putting your gear to good use! Thank you for your support Ian. Cheers, Brian

Super cool jacket, very durable, incredible weatherproofing. Only 2 things i wish were different is that the sleeves are a bit short and I wouldn’t mind some zipper pockets for my hands. Highly recommend this jacket to anyone working in less than ideal weather conditions.

Had to return large for a medium which fits perfectly. I’m 5 ft 8 inch and 185 pounds

Hey Bob, we hope you get a ton of good use out of your jacket!

I love my hurricane rain jacket its bomb proof so far, the only constructive criticism I can provide is that there are lots of thread ends (where terminated stitching seams). Maybe stitching seams could be terminated more tightly. Fits big on my I ordered a large, I am 190lbs 5'11" broad shoulders and the large has lots if room for layering.

Ryo, thank you for the review! We are stoked to hear that your jacket is serving you well. We will take your note regarding the stitching to our manufacturing team., much appreciated.

Pruning with the #ateam in my hurricane jacket. This thing has kept me insanely dry and warm the past couple weeks. It dumps heat super well too when you really get working. True rain gear that keeps the elements out and doesn't get soggy.

The jacket is a medium with 2" extra in the sleeves. Burly, solid and simple.

Thanks RGP this thing is amazing! Was swinging around a Bradford pear in the rain and came out smiling!

So much better than any rain gear I've ever worn. Good movement while wearing bibs in a harness, the Velcro fly, snap on hood, air flow vents, and overall toughness of the fabric make this the absolute best rain gear you can buy for doing tree work or logging in the rain. I will never buy any other rain gear, that is if I ever have to.

Top notch quality rain jacket that is obviously made for hard-working people. Breathes better than any other I've worn and keeps you DRY. Built to last.

Thank you Steve! We hope you love your gear and it last's you for many years to come.

I like the jacket but I wish it had a zipper as well as the buttons as the buttons have popped open while working especially while seated on the log loader

Thanks for the feedback Warner! Take a look at the Apex jacket as it has a full zipper and buttons.

The work gear is great! Once you break it in the shit is very comfortable to wear and doesn’t rip when you catch it on nails and what not highly recommend this gear!

Thanks Heath!

I originally saw these jackets being used by the BC Hydro crews and management when I was working around Hayward Lake. My old jacket had finally called it quits and I made the decision to invest in this jacket. I can definitely say it was worth it.

Thanks Jacob, we hope you get many years out of your jacket!

My husband loves it. He ordered a size bigger than normal for winter layering and it is definitely roomy. Customer service is prompt and excellent. I forgot to use my discount at checkout and I emailed them and they credited me the discount. Quality gear, great customer service. Will be ordering from this company again!

Thank you Sarah! We try our best to exceed our customers expecatations. I am glad your husband is liking his set.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the lining removable?
No — the polar fleece is sewn in throughout, hood included. It's built as one warm, waterproof layer.
Will it keep me warm in the cold?
Yes — the full fleece lining is there for cold, wet conditions. This is the lined Hurricane, not a summer shell.
Is it waterproof or just water-resistant?
Waterproof. The outer is 420D polyurethane-coated nylon over a coated inner layer.
