Why It's Built Different

Abrasion-Resistant Front

A 600-denier woven polyester front stands up to bark, wire and rigging.

Kevlar Where It Counts

Kevlar covers the full front of each leg, plus 4″ up the left (bar) side — from 4″ above the crotch to the ankle.

No Blowouts

The crotch is nylon-reinforced and bar-tacked at the stress points, where lesser pants split.

Kevlar where it counts

Most chainsaw pants protect the front of your thigh — down to the ankle, and that's it. Ours cover the full front of each leg — 180° — plus 4″ up the left side of each leg, from above the crotch to the ankle, right over the femoral artery where a kickback is deadliest. The Seismic ProMax adds a full 360° backpad.

Kevlar pads tucked under jeans move while you work — no fixed coverage where you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much of the leg does the Kevlar cover?
It wraps 240° around each leg — from 4 inches above the crotch all the way down to the ankle.
Where do saw pants usually fail, and how do these hold up?
The crotch. Ours is nylon-reinforced and bar-tacked at the seams that split first, so that's the part built to outlast the rest.
Who's the Rigger for?
Rigging and ground crews who drag their legs through bark and wire — the 600-denier front takes the abrasion.
